Ian Pinnock

Ian Pinnock is a North Riding based artist who was born in 1946. After matriculating at Florida Park High he graduated as a Civil Engineer at Wits University in 1968. After 45 years creating several thousand left brain technical drawings, a career change beckoned. Ian has now been painting full time, under the guise of 'Fossil', (due to his geriatricism), since 2012. He paints from his studio at home and enjoys experimenting with free range, expressionist acrylic compositions. Left to Fossil's own devices, paintings are themed on anything from dung beetles to elephants. He is a regular exhibitor at many of the local exhibitions, as well as selling on commission out of the studio.
